13-2474 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and Tiago Robinson, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide services as follows: coordinate the Safe & Supportive Schools (S3) site project; monitor proper implementation to ensure that programmatic interventions are implemented as described in the work plan; coordinate the annual Cal-SCHL Survey among all students, staff, and parents and ensure a 60% response rate for students and staff; maintain required documentation of all project services, activities, accomplishments, and program records; work with school and District staff to develop and submit the S3 annual progress reports and expenditure reports and maintain and/or monitor any budget or project modifications; work with site and District staff to ensure that funds are expended for allowable costs in compliance with the approved budget; comply with CDE evaluator requirements and coordinate ongoing data collection for evaluation purposes; facilitate and document S3 intervention team meetings; assist principal in organizing and conducting monthly town hall meetings in different locations throughout Oakland; and organize No Bully trainings for teachers and other staff, at Oakland High School, for the period July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014, in an amount not to exceed $60,000.00.

13-2475 Approval by the Board of Education of an Amendment No. 1, Memorandum of Understanding between District and East Bay Agency for Children, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide additional services through the hiring of a full time AmeriCorps member to perform the following services, among others: support English and Spanish language and literacy development for English Language Learner (ELL) students enrolled in grades K-2; support ELL school day teachers by leading student groups through 1-2 phonics centers per class; support ELL teachers in providing the much needed small group or individualized support that EL students may need through the school year; during school hours support Spanish speaking kindergarten students and support kindergarten Afterschool students in both academics as well as engaging them in enrichment activities at East Oakland Pride Academy, for the period July 1, 2013 through August 29, 2014, in the additional amount of $15,000.00, increasing the not to exceed amount of Contract from $85,320.00 to $100,320.00.
