13-2575 Ratification by the Board of Education of Walden West Center Outdoor Science School Agreement between District and Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE), for the latter to provide lodging, meals and hands-on, outdoor education led by trained educators, at Walden West Science Center, Saratoga, CA, for District pupils of Encompass Academy on education field trips - up to four days - accompanied by staff and chaperones, not possible in a traditional classroom, including hands-on living and learning in an outdoor environment, with lessons in the natural sciences brought to life so that students will develop an understanding and sense of appreciation for the environment and development of a child's social skills, in field classes and cabin groups, by interaction with students from other schools and cultures, aligned with California State Science Standards, as specified in Contract, incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth, for the period February 23, 2014 through March 1, 2014 at an amount not to exceed $20,000 per school year.
