15-0512 Ratification by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Contract between the District and Zachary Reidman, Berkeley, CA, for the latter to continue running a community garden at Oakland International High School; coordinate with bilingual community navigators to support new, refugee families with garden plots and affiliated programming; coordinate, consult with Community Schools and Student Services staff member; oversee family outreach and "on-boarding," building of the garden beds, planting, necessary materials and donations in the development and implementation of a garden based ELD and health curriculum and other services, as described in the Scope of Work, incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth, via the Community Schools and Student Services Department, in the additional amount of $15,783.00, increasing the Contract not to exceed amount from $2,000.00 to $17,783.00 and extending the contract period of September 1, 2014 through October 15, 2014 to June 30, 2015.
