Foster Educational Institute and the Oakland Unified School District, for the term of September 1, 2015 through August 31, 2016, for the Institute to serve as fiscal sponsor of the District's School Produce Markets, a Nutrition Services Department Program, that is committed to bringing fresh, affordable and locally grown produce to the Oakland Community to foster healthy eating habits, pursuant to the terms and conditions stated in said Agreement, including employing community members to staff school-based produce markets, to serve as nutrition coaches and to conduct background checks and tuberculosis screening of said community members, as set forth in the California Education Code.

15-1205 Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract and Addendum between District and Education Resource Strategies (ERS), a Massachusetts company, Watertown, MA, for the latter to identify misalignment of resources and develop a diagnostic that describes how people, time and money are used across the District; prioritize opportunities to improve student performance with the currently available resources; redirect resources to higher performing strategies; help the District plan for the community engagement and internal change management strategies to best foster implementation, as described in the Scope of Work, incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth, for the term July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2017, at a cost of $600,000.00, of which a $100,000.00 ERS awarded grant is applied to the Contract, with the District paying a cost not to exceed $500,000.00 during the term of the Contract.
