12-2875 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Rochelle Weintraub, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 235 hours of support to teachers with the BTSA Induction program requirements and to mentor teachers in classroom practices; meet with the new teachers assigned to him/her during the school year; guide new teachers in improving their classroom practices and ensure that teachers complete the requirements for their Clear Credential, for the period of October 1, 2012 through June 29, 2012 in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00.

12-2902 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and Clarence Holmes, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide a maximum of 575.00 hours of service as follows; 1) implement Accelerated Reader resources and systems on campus daily; 2) train staff on best practices of utilizing Accelerated Reader three times annually with additional support as needed; 3) maintain classroom libraries and ensure equitable access to appropriate reading materials; and 4) update inventory of books for library classrooms and facilitate additional purchases as needed three times annually, at Elmhurst Community Preparatory School, for the period of August 27, 2012 through June 28, 2013, in an amount not to exceed $23,000.00.

12-2915 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Elizabeth Lindsley, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 250 hours of services implementing the Arts Learning Anchor School Program in 28 Oakland schools K-12 through the guidance of a team of facilitators, who will: work with the site principal to identify a teacher leader in the arts; where necessary assist site leadership in implementing their arts program; provide 30 hours of training for teacher leaders from ALAS K-12 sites throughout the district; build capacity for leadership and an understanding of quality arts education in the teacher leaders involved; support the teacher leader in developing a site-based plan for their arts education program for the 2012-13 school year; create a platform for documenting and sharing the arts education work being done at each site for all to learn from and other duties, if any, as described in the Scope of Work, incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth, period October 12, 2012 through June 30, 2013, in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00.
