Pres. Davis & OUSD Board-Israel is bombing more than 1.7 civilians in Rafah as of February 11, 2024. A genocide is happening in real time as the US uses American's hard earned tax dollars to fund genocide not only in Palestine but also here in the United States instead of using these tax dollars to fund education, healthcare, social services, and create conditions for the American people to thrive. The denial and deliberate silencing of the reality that Israel, with US's support, is actively committing genocide in Palestine is nothing different that the creation of historical amnesia to Americans as histories of atrocities and current atrocities done by the United States, especially to the people indigenous to this land and the Black community, are deliberately hidden and erased in our education system. We, especially the younger generation deserve, a world that is centered in justice, collective liberation, and morality. Please agendize Resolution No. 2324-0159 for a vote. Thank you.

We demand that President Davis adhere himself to the bylaw of the OUSD board, and AGENDIZE THE CEASEFIRE RESOLUTION that a majority of the board supports. During his first month in office, President Davis has illegally silenced the ceasefire resolution, which a majority of the board wants to agendize (OUSD Bylaw 9322). Arab, Muslim and Palestinian students do not feel safe at school because of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, the silence in their schools, and the censorship around talking about Palestine. This is causing a significant drop in attendance from our Arab students. President Davis is responsible for representing OUSD students and following our democratic processes to address school district concerns. This resolution process has included countless meetings with board members and community members who are responding to the impact of this humanitarian crisis on our students. President Davis - Stop silencing community voices and agendize Resolution No. 2324-0159 for a vote.

40+ OUSD administrators have signed on to the demand for the OUSD board to pass a resolution calling for a ceasefire & end to US support for apartheid, ethnic cleansing, & genocide of the Palestinian people. We are all horrified at the genocide which is unfolding in Gaza. Hundreds of schools in Gaza have been bombed and precious elementary-aged children, like Rheem (soul of my soul) and Hind have been unalived by the IOF. As leaders in our school communities, our concern for children does not end at our school gates, and because of our position as administrators who are responsible for their safety, wellbeing, and education, we are uniquely positioned to speak in defense of children facing crimes against humanity. Doing so will absolutely help to humanize our own OUSD students. I believe a ceasefire is the bare minimum we can and must demand to support the children of Palestine, while simultaneously supporting Arab and Muslim students in OUSD.

As an OUSD parent, I am disappointed in your lack of leadership! And I fear my daughter will not be safe in your schools!

Agendize a resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza! The final stages of ethnic cleansing and genocide are taking place right now. MY DAUGHTER MATTERS!! She demands you recognize her! Call for a CEASEFIRE!

We are not asking, we are demanding that you agendize a ceasefire resolution in occupied Palestine. There is a genocide happening in front of our eyes and the United States is a huge part of it. Stop the killing of innocent Palestinians and be on the right side.

The community has been demanding for the board to uphold the democratic process and follow their own bylaws!!
Alas!! This board leadership has failed miserably. This board president, like his predecessor, have acted undemocratically and have shamelessly violated board bylaws!!
    Agendize the ceasefire resolution NOW!!
