15-0507 Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Safe Passages, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide the following services: lead all components of school's Elev8 Full Service Community School planning, development and implementation in coordination with site management and new and existing collaborative partners; develop oversee, integrate and manage the following Elev8 core components: convene weekly school site meetings with school's Elev8 Oakland and allied on-site providers to facilitate communication between providers and to foster integration of services, integrate COST into Administrative Team meetings and meetings with the Principal, build collaboration with other site-based Elev8 Oakland service managers, coordinate and implement with the Family Advocate the school's Elev8 family support program, lead the orientation and supervision of Extended Day AmeriCorps providers, and facilitate integration of school-based health center services with other Elev8 core components at Roosevelt Middle School, for the period February 15, 2015 through June 30, 2015, in an amount not to exceed $36,750.00.

15-0509 Ratification by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 1 of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Clarence Holmes, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide additional 587.50 hours as follows: 1) 3 Additional Accelerated Reader trainings to reach partner programs and after-school staff; 2) Work with libraries and FRC and Elmhurst Community Preparatory, New Highland, and Rise Academy to support a reading-at-home program; 3) Plan and implement lunch time book clubs across three different lexile levels; and 4) Maintain library availability during the after school program to ensure equitable access, at Elmhurst Preparatory School, for the period August 25, 2014 through June 30, 2015, in an additional amount not to exceed $10,000.00, increasing the Contract not to exceed amount from $13,500.00 to $23,500.00. All other terms and conditions of the Contract remain in full force and effect.
