14-1005 Approval by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 1, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the District and Alternatives in Action, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide an Extended Day Program (EDP) Manager in Training to prepare to assume the role of EDP Manager for the 2014-15 school year; the Manager in Training will work with youth during the month of May and June to shadow the current EDP Manager, attend staff meetings, trainings, co-lead our youth leadership team, and participate and support end of year retreats and planning sessions for the 2014-15 school year, at Life Academy, for the period of July 1, 2013 through August 31, 2014, in the additional amount of $11,200.00, increasing the MOU from $168,255.00 to $179,455.00. All other terms and conditions of the MOU remain in full force and effect.

14-1010 Ratification by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 2, Professional Services Contract between the District and Lifepoint, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide an additional 128 hours of training, parent education and leadership consulting with ethnically diverse parents in alignment with the Safe and Supportive Schools Plan, the OUSD Strategic Plan, and the Voluntary Resolution Plan under the supervision of the site principal and the District Region 1 Mental Health Program Manager at Oakland Technical High School, in an additional amount of $7,936.00, increasing the Contract not to exceed amount from $57,908.00 to $65,844.00, and extending the contract period of August 8, 2013 to May 9, 2014 to June 13, 2014. All other terms and conditions of the Contract remain in full force and effect.
