14-0664 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Techbridge, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide a weekly after-school program with hands-on science and technology projects, career exploration activities, and leadership/teamwork development opportunities, taught by two teachers in conjunction with a Techbridge Program Coordinator; access to all of Techbridge's innovative curriculum adapted and tested for girls; at least one field trip to a corporate worksite and visits by role models; monthly trainings provided to teachers, including the 3-day Summer Training Institute for New Techbridge teachers; family night and outreach to families; access to internship and scholarship opportunities for students; annual evaluation, both quantitative and qualitative; additional resources and support for students, staff, and families through the corporate and university partners of Techbridge, at Lincoln Elementary School, for the period of January 6, 2014 through April 30, 2014, in an amount not to exceed $3,000.00.
