16-2504 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and California School-Based Health Alliance, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide: 1) Project Coordination including development of project timeline, preparation of technical assistance and training, regular communication with District's All City Council staff, and check-in meetings with District Wellness Program Manager; 2) Prepare for and attend District's All City Council meetings and District's Youth Action Summit in May 2017; 3) Distribute and manage mini-grants of no more than $250 for 5 high school site Nutrition and Wellness youth participatory projects; 4) Plan, prepare, and lead no more than seven, one hour trainings - on topics such as Youth Participatory Action Research, public health, food justice, and developing health advocacy campaigns - with the Nutrition & Wellness Delegates throughout the school year in conjunction with the All City Council meetings; and 5) Provide technical assistance to each of the staff leads at each of the five school sites to create year-end events and presentations to the school site Wellness Council, school administration, school board, or other appropriate audiences, via the Community Schools and Student Services Department, for the period of September 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017, in an amount not to exceed $8,000.00.
