16-0898 Approval by the Board of Education of Ground Lease - Joint Use Agreement between District and Kipp Bridge Charter School for the use of the Lafayette Elementary School campus for the Initial Term from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2036 and with two additional terms of 10 years, unless earlier terminated as provided in the Lease/Joint Use Agreement with a lease rate tied to the annual charter school facility use rate, with credits to the school for improvements not to exceed the first two year's lease amounts or a total of approximately $500,000.00 and the school's commitment to build an additional building on the campus at a cost of approximately $9.9 Million, with the new building becoming the property of the District at the end of the lease term.

16-1014 Approval by the Board of Education of In Lieu of Proposition 39 Joint Use Agreement between District and Amethod Public Schools for Downtown Charter Academy ("DCA") for joint use of the Westlake Middle School site located at 2629 Harrison Street, Oakland, CA 94612, for a one year term, for the period from June 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018. Parties may mutually agree in writing to extend Agreement, subject to earlier termination if DCA's Program ceases to operate after a revocation, nonrenewal or surrender of the charter, and all appeals have been exhausted. The Facility Use Fee for the first year is $76,971.00, using the 2016-17 Proposition 39 annual rate.
