12-2565 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and Cantare Convivo, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 300 hours of service, delivering weekly sessions of choral instruction supporting language arts development for English Learners in K-2 classrooms, as desribed in the Scope of Work, incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth, at Lincoln Elementary School, for the period October 1, 2012 through March 22, 2013 at a cost not to exceed $18,000.00.

12-2688 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and Reuben Roberts, San Leandro, CA, for the latter to provide 166.66 hours, providing peer education leadership, by recruiting 10 to 15 peer educators, representative of the schools ethnicities and identified as being natural leaders; train students on assessing tobacco and marijuana use on campus and among the student body; train students on the science of inquiry and developing measures to address the schools prevention needs; train students on leadership; collaborative environment youth adult partnership; presentation skills, educate students on developing media and activities to educate their peers and classrooms and assemblies; facilitate 10 to 15 anti-tobacco, marijuana presentations and do schoolwide prevention education campaigns to reach all students at the school site; train students to administer classroom presentation evaluations, train students on evaluating their own work and provide positive feedback to their working groups; and train students to help their peers at risk to assess student services at their site and their community, at Westlake, Frick and/or Claremont Middle Schools, for the period of September 10, 2012 to June 7, 2013, in an amount not to exceed $5,000.00.

12-2763 Approval by the Board of Education of an Individual Service Agreement between District and Professional Tutors of America, Inc. and ISA 12-13-I001839-001 for services specified herein for the period of August 27, 2012 through June 30, 2013 in an amount not to exceed $7,800.00 pursuant to terms and conditions of Master Contract with Professional Tutors of America, Inc.

12-2833 Ratification by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 1, Professional Services Contract between District and Kyle McClerkins, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 272 additional hours of service as the middle school Conflict Mediation Coordinator at Edna Brewer Middle School, allowing consultant to work longer with youth and support them developing and facilitating restorative justice workshops with other students; recruit, train and oversee,under direction of the Program Manager for Restorative Justice, a representative group of students reflective of the racial, ethnic, and academic diversity of the school and provide services as described in the Scope of Work, ncorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth, in the additional amount not to exceed $7,344.00, increasing the not to exceed acumulative amount from $27,378.00 to $34,722.00, for the period of August 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013.
