V.-20 21-2466 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2021-2022 between the District and Demetra Mack, Oakland, CA, for the latter to serve as an Academic Intervention Specialist to assist in identifying all students in Kindergarten - 5th grade struggling academically and/or behaviorally, and support students who are reading six months to two and a half years below grade level using a variety of data points, including assessments (i.e. Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium or SBAC, Systematic Instruction in Phonological Awareness, Phonics, and Sight Words or SIPPS and iReady Reading and Mathematics, and Expeditionary Learning reading assessments) and chronic absenteeism; organize and supervise all academic tutoring sessions for identified students and serve as point person for communication with school teachers and staff; and recruit hire, and train tutors to work with identified students at Burckhalter Elementary School, for the period of September 20, 2021 through June 3, 2022, in an amount not to exceed $75,000.00.
