As a Yemeni and Arabic person and as member of the community a recognition of of holidays such as Christmas, Thanksgiving and other holidays We would like to be recognized for our holidays such as Eids that causes celebration among the Arabic community as well
We also suggest The opportunity and consideration of an employment among school activities for those who are bilingual in Arabic and English and their big role in educational system and assisting families as well, therefore I support this to be implemented very highly.

1-تعيين مدرسين يمثلون الطلاب اليمنيين / العرب في مدارس اوكلاند.
2-تعيين موظفين يتحدثون العربية واللهجه اليمنية في مقر التسجيل Enrollment center لدعم العائلات الناطقة باللغة العربية وقت التسجيل لمساعده الأسر اليمنيه والعربيه
3-إضافة دورتين تدريبيتين / ورشتي عمل سنويتين لمدة ساعة واحدة للموظفين والمدرسيين لتعريفهم بالعادات والتقاليد اليمنيه والاسلاميه والثقافة العربية .
4- الاعتراف وإدراج عطلتين عيدي الفطر والأضحى المبارك الإسلاميتين في تقويم مدارس أوكلاند OUSD بحيث يسهل للطلاب المسلمين من عدم الحضور كونه عيد ديني.

These two holiday days are what they say. “Holidays”.... one celebrating the end of fast of month of Ramadan, and one celebrating the annual pilgrimage. The only two “Holidays” for Muslims. Muslims are not one ethnicity. Muslims come in all shapes and colors from the entire planet. OUSD has a large Muslim body of students in its schools. They too deserve to celebrate their Holidays. M
