Hello, My name is Juana i am in 7th grade.I support this renewal because every teacher helps me and they are so nice.I call to the board to vote yes to renew lodestar charter because the school deserves it.
My name is Belen Rodriguez and I am an 8th grader at Lodestar. I want to appreciate the OUSD staff for recommending my school for a two year renewal! I support the renewal of Lodestar’s charter because they have always been super supportive to the students trying to make sure they feel safe and united, they also just treat everyone with respect, they really do care for us. I want this school to be around for a while because if its helped me so far, i'm sure it can help anyone who finds interest in attending!
As the son of immigrants, I have always taken seriously my obligation to honor the sacrifices of families on behalf of their children. I know from my own lived experience how much families are counting on schools to educate and prepare their children. As a new member of the Lodestar staff, I can say with confidence that this school is clear on its obligation to serve all students. This is a place that asks kids to take on substantial academic work, and the staff is committed to supporting students with love and determination. I'm grateful every day that I get to be part of this work, for these kids, with these families and colleagues. This is a special place, well deserving of continuing to serve this community.
i feel like they should teach newcomers english because we deserve a better school experience.Lodestar has great teaching and they do their best to explain better when we don't understand.
