Hi i'm josh and i'm a 8 grader and i want lodestar renew because i love my teachers and they help us even when we are sad. So that's why i want the school to be renew.

I am a parent of a third grader at Lodestar. Our child benefit immensely from the diverse staff and the rotating curriculum. Eventhrought distance learning, they have shown support and remained accessible all the wayup to the CEO. We are so grateful to have a faculty like this with the values to support our children in a diverse environment.

I am a fourth grade student and I love my school because they are always ready to help us, even now in this pandemic they have been the best teachers I have ever had.

I am a third grade student and I like Lodestar because they always have the best teachers who support us, please vote yes to keep our school open.

Lodestar is an amazing school, it’s core values are what our kids need. Both of my young children have been at Lodestar since it’s inception and we couldn’t be happier. The core values the school imparts on all staff and students is self evident in these troubled times. My children feel love, respected and supported by the school and al if it’s great staff.

I want to thank the Office of Charter Schools for the recommendation to renew Lodestar's charter. I wholeheartedly support the renewal of Lodestar's charter because it has been the best thing to happen to both my sons' education. Both of my sons were having problems in our public school, and their needs were not being met in varying ways. Lodestar immediately recognized both boys' strengths & weaknesses, helped to develop a learning plan that works for them both, and they have been continuing to succeed since. Even during the pandemic & long-distance learning, my youngest's academic scores continue to grow while at Lodestar. With all my heart I call on the Board to vote YES to renewing Lodestar's charter.

I am a new teacher at Lodestar and am in support of the charter renewal. Lodestar is a school full of teachers with so much expertise, skill and commitment to our students and families. The professional development and resources I have received at Lodestar are pushing me to become the best and most equitable teacher I can be. This school has such a strong set of values that shine through in our culture, even online. The students love their school, and that is a big reason I came to work here. In a pandemic, Lodestar is giving their students an outstanding, standards and mastery-driven education. We are connecting with families to create partnerships of support to get our students what they need. Please consider renewing Lodestar's charter.

I am a mother to a 6th grade scholar here at Lodestar school and i most definitely support Lodestar because ever since my daughter was transferred to lodestar and attend 3rd grade there shes been improving her math nd reading nd i am so greatful and thankful to all her teachers, staffs, and especially their principle for their hard working towards our kids.. Lets go Lodestar👊💪

Queremos que se mantenga esta escuela abierta por qué nuestra comunidad la mesecitomos para nuestros niños y nesecitamos ayuda de la ciudad de Oakland para mantener limpia nuestras calles que limiten los permisos para vender licores y que pongan mas vigilancia policial ya que los últimos meses se han escuchados muchas disparos

Lodestar has not only help to support the community but has also changed the culture of learning in my household. My children look forward to learning.

This is an amazing school that has change plenty of lives. I used to attend Lighthouse and now my son attends Lodestar, as a single mom their support has been crucial to my son’s success and development. Their staff and teachers are caring, compassionate and do not treat us like a number, I can always go back and ask for help. This is a community that is there for their alumni and current students, something that a lot of schools in Oakland lack. Go Lighthouse!

A quien corresponda yo estoy con lodestar desde que estaban en Fruitvale y yo viviendo en 98 av, Asia 40 minutos de camino a diario por el tráfico que a esa hora hay pero el ver ami hija que ella estaba feliz asia que yo manejara asta aya diariamente creo que lodestar es una buena escuela para mi hija y para este próximo año para mi hijo que está esperando con ansias ir ala misma escuela de su hermana espero de verdad podamos seguir adelante y darle la oportunidad a tantos niños que ansían regresar asu escuela si la cerraran no se como les explicaría amis hijos que ya no van a poder asistir ahí

We highly support the renewal of Lodestar this year and any other year! The principal and staff has been nothing but great! Everyone is very much involved and have shown that the student’s education is important to them as much as the families. Someone is always available when we need to reach out for any reason.
