I have been apart of the AIMS staff for the last eight years. I am an Oakland native and it has been an amazing experience working for this charter. We not only provide equitable education and support services for students of Oakland, but we have cultivated an environment of academic excellence and high achievement. I am proud to be able to serve and support an organization that puts our children and families first.
I'm very proud to be working in a school that actively works to support our students in becoming college ready scholars, and supportive members of their communities. I feel that I can confidently say our school works to eradicate any obstacles keeping students from receiving the best education, whether those obstacles are language barriers or lack of access to technology.
I am very proud to be working for AIMS College Prep High School! As a second-year Social Studies teacher, the school has demonstrated two essential qualities for an institution, Ethos, and Responsiveness. Through the school’s passionate leadership, I have seen and valued the mission. Students first and prepare them for higher education. This is the motto that is often reiterated, and I as well as my colleagues try our best to achieve it. Secondly, with the current health crisis, the school leadership has once again proved its concern and drive for supporting the community by its responsiveness. In this current situation and other critical moments, the school has placed its efforts to deal head-on with fulfilling its mission regardless of the circumstances. As a result, I am grateful to be a part of the school and supporting its mission.
I worked previously in many schools, In AIMS, I feel the difference, Where we can see the real meaning of the strong family. Everyone supports others. We all are working to achieve our school goals. The administration, Teachers, Staff, students, and families are together so AIMS is STRONG.
I am honored to work at AIMS High School- a school that focuses on the success of ALL students from all different backgrounds. Here at AIMS our focus is a top quality education for all.
I have been a part of the AIMS family for many years, and I wholeheartedly support the renewal of the school. Two of my own children are currently attending the middle school and high school. Throughout the time that my children have attended the school, they have gotten a lot of support from their teachers to make sure that they are excelling academically, and socially.
I support AIMS Schools because not only is Oakland lucky to have such great structured schools that focus on the education of the students but it also focuses on staying diverse and offering the best courses/programs any school could have.
We are new to AIMS HS, and we couldn’t be more happy of our choice. My son is thriving and learning profusely, distant learning have been very organized and effective. WE STRONGLY SUPPORT THE AIMS RENEWAL!!!

I fully support the renewal of AIMS College Prep High School! The Staff has carefully and thoughtfully put together an academic roadmap that positions our students for great success! The Leadership here at the HS is truly investing in our students and showing them there are no limits, no boundaries. Allowing them opportunities like AIMS HS College Pathway Program offered right in campus is outstanding! Students can easily transition class into one of the offered programs without leaving campus or losing time commuting to another campus/school. AIMS HS is a family and that is shown in more ways than one, it’s a family of students as they gain lifelong relationships with their peers but it is also a place of tremendous support from teachers, faculty and staff. Our students need us to invest in them and watch them soar! After all, they deserve it! And that is exactly what happens at AIMS!
AIMS HS is such an asset to our city. I am so proud to have AIMS as an exceptional example of a quality high school in Oakland with AP+, outstanding sports and extracurricular and leadership opportunities. Not only should we renew, but let's figure out how to replicate this exceptionally successful school that is closing the gap, especially for African American students.
I heartily support renewal of the AIMS charter!! AIMS has spectacular integrity and a wonderful curriculum for our high school students. I am an Oakland parent of 3 young Black men (recent HBCU college graduates) and I know that our children need ample options to become successful. When I hear all of the options and doors that the high school opens for its students I am pleased and proud to see our Black and Brown children exposed to such a wonderful experience. AIMS is a model school that opens doors for our children, preparing them to become successful and resilient citizens. The AIMS administration and staff and extremely committed to our Oakland children, serve as wonderful role models, and have produced outstanding results.
AIMS College Prep High School takes its mission seriously. The exceptional leadership and dedicated staff provide a rigorous academic program that prepares students well for college or university, while at the same time providing a multi-faceted support system that enables student to succeed. AIMS High School is making a difference for students and families in Oakland, and without reservation, I strongly support the renewal of their charter for the five-year renewal period. .

Growing up in Oakland and attending Oakland Unified School District I sometime question my education due to my struggles in college. I felt I was not prepared in writing, reading, or speaking. The opportunity to attend a charter school was not an option or well promoted especially to low-income families. If the opportunity was there, I think I would have excelled in college and made better decision in my education.
This is 9th year working at AIMS, first as a teacher and now as an EL Coordinator. I support the renewal of AIMS College Prep HS because there are dedicated teachers and staffs who wants to make a difference. Who wants to change the education course of students who attend AIMS. Oakland students deserve a high quality education no matter where they are from or their socio-economic status is. AIMS has provided that for many families.

I support the renewal of AIMS College Prep because this school (K-12) truly strives to teach students to embrace specific characteristics (Accountability, Integrity, Mindfulness, Safety) to be a well rounded scholar. and also provides academic rigor needed, in preparation for higher education for Oakland/East bay youth. The students deserve that. It's nice to know that our students from the middle school will continue their academic careers at this high school.
