14-0106 Ratification by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 1 of a Professional Services Contract between District and Kusum Crimmel, Oakland, CA. for the latter to provide an additional 900 hours of Restorative Justice coordination, including the development and management of a peer leadership program to train and support student-led conflict mediation utilizing restorative practices; implement restorative practices that offer alternatives to suspension in alignment with the Voluntary Resolution Plan (VRP); support teacher-led circles, and facilitate the re-entry of students returning from suspension, expulsion, and incarceration utilizing Circles of Support and Accountability, in an additional amount not to exceed $36,900.00, increasing the Contract not to exceed amount from $39,524.00 to $76,424.00 and extending the contract period of August 5, 2013 through December 31, 2013 to May 9, 2014 at Oakland Technical High School. All other terms and conditions of the Contract remain in full force and effect.
