14-0066 Approval by Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Oakland Schools Foundation (OSF), Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide parent engagement and training around key academic support areas, particularly focusing on the new demands of the Common Core State Standards, and how such may affect the type of work students are asked to do, both in school and at home; and families training and information on A-G course requirements and strategies for supporting academic language and literacy in the home, as described in the Scope of Work, incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth at Elmhurst Community Preparatory Academy, for the period August 26, 2013 through June 30, 2014, in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00.
