R.-39 26-1908 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2026-2027 by and between the District and Children Rising, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide a coordinator trained in Children Rising math and reading curricula, family communications and education advocacy to support in building family engagement, including: enrolling families whose children participate in Children Rising tutoring programs during the current academic year; providing routine communication to parents and caregivers about their child's progress in math/reading tutoring; hosting monthly Zoom coaching sessions to introduce parents and caregivers to math and reading learning strategies and tools they can use at home; providing family engagement learning activities during winter and spring breaks; regular collaboration with the school's Coordination of Services Team to address individual student learning challenges at Sankofa United Elementary School, for the period of August 25, 2026 through May 27, 2027, in an amount not to exceed $5,000.00.
