R.-40 26-1799 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2026-2027 by and between the District and Brooke Barnett, Buffalo, NY, for the latter to coordinate early childhood mental health services across 17 OUSD Child Development Centers, including participating in classroom team meetings and Multi-Tiered System of Supports/Coordination of Services Team (MTSS/COST) meetings to consult regarding individual children's social-emotional and mental health needs, identify appropriate supports, and assist staff in developing strategies to promote children's well-being and success in the classroom; provide coaching, consultation, and professional development for educators on trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate practices, including strategies to support children's emotional regulation, behavior, and social-emotional development; coordinate and facilitate parent workshops addressing identified family needs, including supporting families through the transition to kindergarten and connecting families to appropriate resources and services; facilitate reflective process groups for educators focused on adult regulation, wellness, resilience, and prevention of teacher burnout; coordinate clinical case management services, including identifying community resources, making referrals, and facilitating linkages to outside mental health, health, social service, and other community-based resources, delivering services through a family-centered, trauma-informed, and collaborative approach that strengthens the capacity of educators and families to support the social-emotional health and development of young children, via Early Childhood Development Department, for the period of August 24, 2026 through June 30, 2027, in an amount not to exceed $119,000.00.
