R.-44 26-1645 Approval by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2026-2027 by and between the District and Black Cultural Zone Community Development, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten (TK/K) arts programming for students at Kaiser Elementary School, Hintil Child Development Center, Burbank Elementary School, La Escuelita Elementary School, Sequoia Elementary School, Fruitvale Elementary School, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School, Lockwood Elementary School, Brookfield Elementary School, and Bella Vista Elementary School, engaging up to 350 TK/K students in developmentally appropriate music and movement instruction designed to foster creativity, self-expression, coordination, and social-emotional learning, with participating students receiving up to three one-hour classes per week over a 30-week program period; and providing up to 200 instructional hours, coordinating with school site staff to develop and implement a consistent, high-quality arts education experience across all participating schools, via Community Schools and Student Services Department, for the period of August 3, 2026 through June 30, 2027, in an amount not to exceed $95,000.00.
