R.-29 26-1332 Approval by the Board of Education of Agreement Between Owner and Contractor by and between the District and Luna's Grading and Paving, San Jose, CA, as the lowest responsive bidder, rejecting all other bids, for the latter to provide construction services which involves asphalt pavement removal and replacement at Bret Harte site, including reconstruction of approximately 12,000 SF of driveway pavement from the street to the loading dock fence, resurfacing of approximately 20,000 SF of existing pavement, and seal coat and restriping of approximately 10,000 SF of parking areas; saw cutting and demolition of existing asphalt and base, subgrade preparation, installation of new aggregate base and hot mix asphalt, utility adjustments, implementation of dust control measures, traffic control, and protection and repair of adjacent improvements including City sidewalk as required proper transportation and disposal of contaminated soil at the driveway, and coordination with applicable regulatory agencies for required approvals and documentation to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, for the Bret Harte Middle School Asphalt Replacement Project, in the amount of $274,000.00, which includes a contingency allowance of $35,000.00, with the work anticipated to commence on June 25, 2026, and required to be completed within thirty-six days (36), with an anticipated ending of July 31, 2026.
