We have worked to amend board policy now we need to start enforcing it, pushing back for departments to plan for change. These items alone represent a half dozen positions. I think these are exactly the kinds of contracts to pull and beg the questions, "How will this be done differently next year?"
    Translation: Almost 3 mil
    Security Cameras: $121,000
    Fire Vegetation Removal: $150,000
    Graphic Design:
Similarly, we are paying $30,000 and $4500 to a graphic designer in this agenda for one pagers and forms. This is work a properly staffed and effectively managed Communications department should be able to do. However due to the systemic mismanagement of the communications department for the last 6 years it is unable to do this. Again I would ask that you question this contract and how we are addressing this work next year. There is a lot of work to be done, its time for departments to plan for next year to be different.
