Hello, my name is Bianca Lorenz and I am a Principal at Madison Park Academy 6-12. I apologize I am not in person as I am currently traveling out of the country, but I wanted to prioritize submitting a comment that I strongly oppose this proposal. Measure N/H has a major impacted on our students and their access to college and career readiness. As a school that serves 100% low-income students and students of color, these funds make a huge impact. Losing over $200,000 will hurt students at MPA’s ability to go to college and/or access careers which is the antithesis of Measure N/H. One example is our site has significantly increased A-G completion and graduation rates for Black and African American students because of our access of dual enrollment. We use Measure H to support our students success in college classes. Without these funds, there will be negative impacts on students.
Thank you for your consideration.
