Anti-Zionism often manifests in ways that create a hostile environment for Jewish and Israeli students. It is deeply concerning that reports of harassment, intimidation, and discrimination experienced by Jewish and Israeli students appear to have been overlooked or inadequately addressed by the Oakland Unified School District. Every student deserves to feel safe, respected, and protected regardless of their religion, ethnicity, or national origin. I urge the district to take these concerns seriously, enforce its anti-discrimination policies consistently, and ensure that Jewish and Israeli students receive the same protections afforded to all members of the school community.
As a full-time educator, I am disgusted by OUSD's utter lack of concern for the safety and well-being of Jewish and Israeli students. The District is actively complicit in the rampant Jew Hatred in our schools. OUSD launched a lame campaign to evade civil rights laws and deceive the public. The AI-generated "video" deliberately hides the CDE's January 23rd findings and intentionally left the raw CDE Decision letter off the public agenda, violating a state mandate. To address antisemitism, one must issue clear directives to remove all anti-Israel propaganda from campuses and teach only authorized, balanced curriculum. While your video claims diligence, you argue in court that the state lacks jurisdiction and that protecting Jewish students violates employees' "First Amendment rights." The law is clear - employees have no right to spew propaganda on District time. The training regarding UCP compliance is a joke. OUSD continues to ignore Uniform Complaints and refuses to investigate them.
I am a Jewish OUSD employee and parent of Jewish OUSD students. I have suffered through personal workplace harm due to my identity in the past few years, but worse … I fear for the safety of my kids in our schools due to how I seriously you take concerns of antisemitism. Unfortunately, due to your inaction on the CDE report and findings as well as on the OJA lawsuit, that it took over a year to hear back about one of the uniform complaints I had to file, and the many instances of antisemitism I have witnessed at OUSD middle and high schools- including our neighborhood campus- I cannot enroll my child in a district middle school. He graduated 5th grade in OUSD this year and is now leaving our district for middle school. I believe in public education, but I do not trust you with the safety of my child. Please fix this so that his younger sister doesn’t have to do the same in a few years, and I can trust you to protect and educate my kids once again.
The District is complicit in a campaign to evade civil rights laws and deceive the public. You published a sanitized, AI-generated "robot video" to hide the CDE's January 23rd findings and intentionally left the raw CDE Decision letter off the public agenda, violating a state mandate. If you wanted to address antisemitism, you would issue clear directives to remove all anti-Israel propaganda from campuses and teach only authorized, balanced curriculum. Instead, you refuse. While your video claims diligence, you argue in court that the state lacks jurisdiction and that protecting Jewish students violates employees' "First Amendment rights." The law is clear - employees have no right to spew propaganda on District time. The training regarding UCP compliance has been useless, as the District continues to ignore our Uniform Complaints and refuses to investigate them. Scrap the fraudulent AI video, publish the January 23, 2026 CDE letter immediately, and STOP the propaganda!
