    Why is this item in the general consent? This seems like a consequential item deserving of public discussion.

    If, however, this was placed in consent because all board members are in agreement with this action and all are convinced that the “going concern” designation was a mistake, why not focus instead on producing an improved 3rd interim and a balanced proposed budget. These reports are due in the next month or so. Improved reports would remove the unfortunate “going concern” designation because of evidence of solid financial standing. The label from the county is less important. Instead, please work diligently on restructuring the district so we can eventually receive consistent positive certifications on our budget reports, which we haven’t been able to accomplish in over a decade.

    Focus on the work. Not the labels.
