O.-40 26-0859 Approval by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2025-2026 by and between the District and Oakland Public Education Fund, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide comprehensive housing navigation services three days per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from eight thirty in the morning until four in the afternoon at 746 Grand Avenue in Oakland, including conducting crisis intake and triage, verifying McKinney-Vento eligibility, and providing immediate enrollment and transportation support for students to maintain educational stability at their school of origin; facilitate emergency shelter placements and connect families to the Coordinated Entry System while providing tenant-landlord advocacy to prevent eviction for at least fifteen families; provide financial literacy coaching and budgeting education to all sixty families and link at least forty-five families to two or more external support resources such as CalFresh or Medi-Cal to promote long-term self-sufficiency, for a total of twenty-two and a half hours of weekly service over the contract term; and ensure that seventy percent of students in participating families maintain consistent enrollment in their school of origin and achieve a ten percent reduction in chronic absenteeism rates, via Community Schools and Student Services Department, for the period of March 2, 2026 through June 30, 2026, in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00.
