Dir Latta, before you joined the board the plan as the covid era funds dried up was to re structure the entire district from central office to school sites to operate within its budget (3R). Since you joined this board it has been your swing vote that terminated the contract of the Superintendent driving that plan and the board majority that your vote created that stopped the restructuring plan. Now we are here with a new vague plan to create a plan. This better work out as it’s your position that has created this crisis . We did not elect you in D1 to stop the plan to stabilize the district . I hope you know what you are doing because this is extremely serious. Very concerned OUSD parent of two from D1.

Following the County Superintendent's remark that OUSD can meet its deadlines as long as the timeline projected by the Board is adhered to, I believe a focus of this Budget and Finance Committee meeting should be: what are those steps that need to happen, what are supports that are needed, and what additional meetings (such as Special Board meetings) need to be calendared to assure that the timeline is met.
