It is our understanding that the Measure Y bond contains $22M in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability funding, $41M for deferred maintenance, $20M for heat assessments and ventilation, and $60M in contingency funding.

    1. How does the public access the project pipeline for Measure Y?
    2. Have these funds been fully allocated?
2a. If unallocated funds remain, can a portion be allocated to Sequoia to address temps in the cafeteria, auditorium and playground?
    3. What is the spend down deadline for the bonds, and when does staff anticipate an accounting of budget to actual expenses for the current project pipeline?
    4. Is OUSD going to apply for either the California Energy Commission Program Sequoia caregivers surfaced for the board (the grant program for extreme heat readiness) and/or the no-interest loan program for energy efficiency projects?
    5. Is there an appropriate way for parents to support grant applications on behalf of the district to increase funds for heat mitigation efforts?
