O.-64 25-2059 Approval by the Board of Education of a No Cost Services Agreement (NCSA) and Data Sharing Agreement (DSA) by and between the District and University of San Francisco, San Francisco, CA, on behalf of its Upward Bound Project (UBP), for the latter, through the NCSA, to provide Workshops: topics offered include study skills, goal setting, time management, college exploration, career exploration, self-esteem and value, and anything else that may assist participants in preparing for college; Individual Advising/Transcript Evaluation: one-on-one appointments with a USF UBP advisor with special emphasis on ensuring that students are on track to graduate from high school and are receiving adequate college preparatory coursework; connections to high-quality academic tutoring services; advice and assistance in secondary or selection, and if applicable, initial post-secondary course selection; assistance in preparing for college entrance exams and completing college admission applications; informational on the full range of federal student financial programs and benefits (including federal Pell grant awards and loan forgiveness) and resources for locating public and private scholarships; assistance in completing financial aid applications; connections for participants to education or counseling services designed to improve the financial and economical literacy of the participants or the participants parents, utilizing Federal TRIP grants to serve Fremont High School, Castlemont High School and Oakland High School, for the period of July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027, at no cost to the District, and under the DSA, the terms and conditions of the District's transmission of or sharing of pupil data with University of San Francisco and the protection by the University of San Francisco of such data for the same term as the NCSA, each, via the Academics and Instruction Department.
