As an educator the importance of music being provided everyday for students, helps them to stay in happiy places & environments. I heard about the cuts, and with the uncertainty of the budget, i hope you will find another funding source and not cut anymore funding to students. Seeing the positive impact and growth that it provides to our students in special educartion, should be the boards top priority, to be sure that these students are given a chance to learn in ways that can help them get better, and I know that the arts and music funding allows for the students to get the constant ongoing support that they need. Please help them and all students, parents, caregivers, and the communities "as a whole" in which they live. I also think their does need to be a mandate for these ongoing practices to be implemented on a consistency with proper help from staff to keep up with the needs of students, and I liked with Ms. assata said, funding should be based on Need & not enrollment...

i saw the meeting last week, and was just informed posting comments are still allowed, so i just wanted to add my name to the list of comments in support of arts and music. please don't take anymore funding away, find a way to deal with the budget deficit without cutting more funding. if you cut more funding, then you're harming students by not giving them a chance, and these funds are intended to help students, and not be taken away to further hurt them. Please do the right thing as it relates to these funds and services that the students should be able to depend on.

I was happy to hear that the Board President on the last meeting agreed that music is important, so, i am hoping since there's a budget problem and 1 million was already taken away, that the Board will some how make a way for thousands of students to get the help they need and deserve. Please, find a way to help them, cause the only alternative is not helping them and causing more trauma to their lives.

Raising awareness of funds for music and arts education to be used specifically for children whose learning interest have been very beneficial through their expression in the art of music. Mismanagement is not acceptable when it comes to the hearts and goals for the children and parents/caregivers that depend on the hired people to do their jobs and allocate funds correctly. I'd like to suggest "they take a deeper look to ensure funds are going in the right direction. Hopefully the Board Members truly care enough to do their jobs efficiently, if for nothing more than for the sake of the children💙

Please don't cut any more music and arts education. As a musician, music has always been a valuable and needed activity to keep me and everyone around me in the most positive spaces. i have seen first hand how it also helps those who have disabilities, and when you take funding from these sources, it strips to many students chances of progressing to get better, away, resulting in more trauma. I have also been
getting updates from the change.org petition for music and language, and it's sad to know that these students have already been suffering for a very long time, so Please give them the chance.....

With the financial situation the district is in, please don't make that be the reason to cut more funding to music and arts education. I have been following the meetings and facebook posts, and I pray that there's an urgent priority to make up for cutting 1 million in funding already,. Too many children are suffering and need help urgently, so please don't cut anymore funding.

Restore funding for music and arts education. It is critical that all students, especially disabled students be allowed the chance to develop in ways they can learn, cutting these fundings is very damaging to their future. Take action now, and put forth the funds and provide equal and all access to these students who are suffering

It's Never Ok to cut funding, especially when the services benefit students with disabilities and these actions have caused further damage,
and i'm hearing in violation of the process. Reverse these actions now, and give the students a chance..

Please prioritize prop 28 funding and music and arts grants and use them for their intended use, and not cut any more funding. THe district must repair the decades of harm caused to countless students, by providing them the consistency they need through these fundings sources.
You must make a stand, now, and make up for the 1 million dollars that was already taken from music and arts education, and in the way it was taken, i continue to highlight, in VIOLATION of the process!! Repair the HARM NOW, My son and TOO many Children are still suffering, and Help has GOT TO BE ON THE WAY, and URGENTLY.....
