While i understand the Prop 28 Funding is funded by the state, based on site base reporting of needs, I guess the question is, How can the budget and Finance Committee be Informed of ALL decisions having to do with the budget, including grant fundings, i am still not understanding how this could be blindsided from this committee, as I was informed that this plan was not gonna go through, but yet, it did. I continue to ask the board to provide all students with music and arts education, especially those in special education.

It was stated that the proposal to cut 1 million was made up and not true, well, it happened! What are you gonna do about the budget and finances for prop 28 funding to ensure all students will get the benefits music &arts provides, especially those in special education like my son, who onlys learn thru music at this time. This is a HUGE issue, all students who hv longstanding suffering, due to the districts inactions, as well actions of cutting programs & school closures. our children ARE OUSD, as millions hv been taken on the backs of countless students causing not only emotional, but physical trauma at unfamilar places where our children were forced to be. When will you prioritize the prop 28 funding and hold the board accountable for taking 1 million in funding away, their has to be a remedy of this and urgently, my son and thousands of students are at critical atages in their lives, and I fear for my son and all children if help isn't on the way and urgently!
