L.-50 25-1249 Approval by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2024-2025 by and between the District and East Bay Consortium, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide personalized college advising sessions, including assessments of A through G eligibility and reviews of student transcripts to help students explore their options for further education, encompassing community colleges, four year colleges and universities, trade schools, and direct entry into the workforce; promote family engagement, through Cash for College events, where families receive assistance in understanding the financial aid process and completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the California Dream Act, also known as the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act, and learn about the implications for students; and advisors also contribute to other Future Center initiatives, such as providing staff support for field trips and dual enrollment programs at Castlemont High School, for the period of January 1, 2025, through May 31, 2025, in an amount not to exceed $35,000.00.
