dear board, i've been emailing and asking for clarification on funding for music and arts which appears to be 5.5 million for ousd, but not sure if that's right. honestly, all of the numbers on the huge budget spread sheet, it's hard to trust the validity, and i continue to ask that none of the services designed to help our most vulnerable, be cut. l also ask their be some response relating to the save our future resolution. a huge part of it , doesn't cost any money at all. mandating a loving environment, w/reinforcing respectable language within our schools, is something we have been fighting for for over a decade. the music and arts part of the resolution, should not cripple the districts finances, and shld be funded out of the ongoing new funding from prop 28. where does things stand regarding the resolution. my son's trauma is an ongoing result of the district inactions and you must take steps to avoid further trauma, and how can you ensure more services won't be cut.
