L.-47 24-3062 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2024-2025 by and between the District and Civic Productions LLC, Oakland, CA, for the latter to co-create a school project through curriculum design for the 2024 to 2025 school year; work with students and the Sustainable Urban Design Academy (SUDA); work with students along with industry and community partners to create community projects; connect, when applicable, SUDA teachers and curricula to Universities with similar educational focus such as UC Berkeley Engineering, Laney College, and Castlemont Urban planning collaborations; provide professional development training for educators one on one through mentorship style approach once projects are solidified, support networking opportunities within the industry to bridge community connections within the community; deepen network of industry community connections, with specific opportunities for students to increase their knowledge around creating, managing industry standard skilled projects; coordinate and facilitate field trips to industry field sites, and professionals associated managing over the site projects; facilitate student completion of a year-end presentation with industry collaboration efforts at the Harvest Festival, build a greenhouse and shade house for the school farm; facilitate student capture of projects and events with photography and create a digital library of all events, projects, community supporter, field trips, that will be used to highlight the program to community industry partners at Castlemont High School, for the period of October 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025, in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00.
