T.-32 24-0439 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2023-2024 by and between the District and Patrick Henderson II, Oakland, CA, for the latter to commit to supporting the efforts to provide sporting opportunities to students with disabilities through collaboration with school sites and external organizations, as outlined by the Oakland Athletic League, by: · Engaging in regular communication with the Oakland Athletic League to understand specific needs and requirements for inclusive sporting events; · Actively participating in the planning and coordination of a minimum of three sporting events throughout the year, working closely with school sites and external organizations; · Contributing time and effort to ensure the events are accessible and accommodating for students with disabilities, adhering to any guidelines provided by the OAL; · Seeking opportunities to secure resources, sponsorships, or partnerships that may enhance the quality and inclusivity of the sporting events; and · Attending relevant training sessions or workshops recommended by the OAL to better understand and address the unique needs of students with disabilities in a sporting context. Vendor will be dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of students with disabilities through the promotion of inclusive sporting opportunities, via Oakland Athletic League (OAL), for the period of February 12, 2024 through June 30, 2024, in an amount not to exceed $45,000.00.
