E.-86 23-2447 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2023-2024 by and between the District and Planting Justice, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide a nutrition education class (1 period 3 days a week) that will enable students to test real-life nutritional situations; educate all students in the Health Pathway on nutrition and the study of nutrients in foods, how the body uses nutrients, and the relationship between diet, health, and disease; teach students to fully understand their own health, learn why you truly are what you eat, and how to properly lose weight, maintain a healthy weight, and/or gain weight; teach which foods are healthy and which foods are damaging at Dewey Academy, for the period of October 9, 2023 through June 28, 2024, in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00.
