I am in support of the Black Organizing Project. Keep the George Floyd Resolution fully intact and keep Oakland schools police-free.

I condemn the recent use of private security forces t to brutalize families at Parker. The board and district administrators must take full accountability for this incident and rectify the harm that you allowed to be done.

I also condemn the retaliatory firing of employees involved in the Parker Liberation. Reinstate them immediately.

I am in support of the Black Organizing Project as I urge you as a district to remain true to the promises you made to this community over the past 2 years and ensure that the George Floyd Resolution remains fully intact- keeping Oakland schools Police-free.

I also want to call out the recent use of private security forces that you all allowed to brutalize families at Parker and make it clear that not only do I condemn this act but also call for you all to take full accountability for this incident and rectify the harm that you allowed to be done.

This community will not allow you to backstep on the work we are doing to keep Oakland and our schools safe for this community- free from police-terror and intimidation tactics. “

My name is Jasmine Williams and I stand in solidarity with the Black Organizing Project and writing to remind this district of the promise it made to Oakland students, families and the larger community-- just 2 years ago with the passing of the George Floyd Resolution.
The recent use of private security forces that you all allowed to brutalize families at Parker is in direct violation of the spirit of the George Floyd Resolution and must be rectified and publicly condemned.
I urge this board to continue pushing beyond the limits of the status quo and move towards progress, by being willing to struggle through the hard work of systems change. Keep Oakland schools , police AND Policing culture free !
