I am an Eastmont D6 resident in support of keeping Parker Elementary school open for the Eastmont and Eastmont Hills community. Assistance with increasing student enrollment, adding programs and community engagement would be appreciated from OUSD to assist with stopping the persistent action of closing schools in minority communities. Our student and families need the Parker School and Parker community to continue to serve and uplift the culture of the community.
I am opposed to T-1 22-1629 Employment Agreement proposed for a sabbatical for superintendent Johnson- Trammell. This is absurd that we are closing schools to save the district money, yet as per Dr. Yee's proposal, for Dr. Aguilera to serve as Acting Superintendent during the Dr. Johnson-Trammell’s sabbatical is estimated to be $31,000. It will be paid for by the General Fund. This is so egregious that the superintendent will need a sabbatical due to pandemic, yet the children in the district are suffering further from her support of school closures and further traumatizing our children. With on of the highest superintendent salaries in the country, we should all expect more from this position. Vote No on this ridiculous request.
