H.-1 22-1276 Adoption by the Board of Education of Resolution No. 2122-0044 - District's Third Interim Financial Report for Fiscal Year 2021-2022, as of April 30, 2022, as a Result of the District's Second Interim Financial Report Adoption, Certification Being "Qualified".
I was a teacher at Oakland Tech for 31 years. In the Board discussions of school closings earlier this year I heard many times that OUSD needed to save money by reducing our number of schools to what 'similar districts'have, with Fremont USD frequently mentioned. So I researched-- If OUSD had the same number of staff making more than $200,000/yr as Fremont USD it would save almost exactly what OUSD claims it could save by closing schools. OUSD has always paid its educators less than surrounding districts; it also pays its top administrators a lot moret than surrounding districts. Where are the proposals to cut these excess expenditures? What does "keeping cuts outside the classroom" mean when total executive salaries are never cut?
