V1.-10 22-1175 Approval by the Board of Education of Agreement Between Owner and Contractor by and between the District and Bay Construction Company, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide replacing and installation services which consist of replacing existing FACU with new, replacing existing DACT with new, install smoke detectors in all buildings in accordance with CFC requirements, install voluntary carbon monoxide detection in classrooms, install new heat detection in spaces above ceilings where sprinklers are not installed, install new audible /visual notification appliances in all classrooms and common areas; remove manual fire alarms and all abandoned and unused fire alarm devices, wiring, conduit, and raceway for the East Oakland Pride Elementary School Fire and Intrusion Alarm Replacement Project, in the amount of $1,153,000.00, which includes a contingency allowance of $25,000.00, as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, with the work anticipated to commence on May 26, 2022, and scheduled to last for ninety (90) days, with an anticipated ending of August 24, 2022.
