T.-1 22-0278 Adoption by the Board of Education of Resolution No. 2122-0042 - Approving District's Second Interim Financial Report for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 - As of January 31, 2022 and Certification of said Report to the Alameda County Superintendent of Schools as "Qualified."
Does the Second Interim include all the position adjustments made by the Board in January of this year?
It is very upsetting to see in the Criteria and Standards section of the 2d Interim that Management and Confidential employees increased substantially from last year to this year (497.9 FTE to 525.8 FTE) and is projected to be reduced only slightly next year (to 520 FTE). These are the highest numbers since this group, which includes the most highly compensated employees, peaked at the 2016-17 Second Interim and are a troubling reversal of the district’s work toward becoming less disproportionate in this area. Please reference the work of David DeLeeuw as publicized through Parents United as well as comments from School Services of California about managerial employees doing work which could be done by nonmanagerial employees. I would like to see the district create good jobs for nonmanagerial employees and fill them!
