I hope that on an upcoming agenda soon, the committee can take up the appropriate use of developer fees which continue to be generated on an annual basis. According to the CBO, the previous plan to use those fees to fund deferred maintenance did not fall within the permited scope of use. I believe, however, that the fees could appropriately relieve the Measure funds for a new construction project, freeing up Measure funds for modernization that would reduce deferred maintenance needs.
