I have been a Special Day Class teacher of Moderate/Intensive Needs students for 18 years. The lack of access to extracurricular activities such as the after school program, sports, and field trips has always existed. As a CAC member and SDC teacher, I urge you to implement the "Recommendations for Future Work" on slide 13 from this evening's presentation. Every student should have the opportunity to participate in activities available to their general education peers. This is their educational right.
