My name is [Name], resident of district [#], parent of [#] child[ren] at OUSD schools. I am here today as a parent leader with Bay Area PLAN to talk about the LCAP.Transparency surrounding upcoming budget decisions has been less than satisfactory. The Fiscal Transparency Dashboard for OUSD is displaying information from the 2019-2020 school year. The LCAP expenditure table does not provide thorough descriptions for the Action Titles listed and the status of how ESSER I,II, & III funds are to be spent over the next 3 years has not been updated since May 5th. As a parent it is my right to know how, when, and where OUSD intends to allocate public education funds especially when math and reading proficiency averages for OUSD schools are below the CA state average.
