Is it possible for OUSD to secure a lease extension at 1000 Broadway for those scenarios presented?

Page 9 shows Admin options that merit further consideration.
    1. MAC and Brookfield
Do a reconfigure/build out of existing classrooms/ancillary spaces project. Change use from school to Amin - less restrictive Division of State Architect approval process.
I was at Terra Linda HS this week (for vaccine) and saw that their Central Admin offices are in one wing of the school. I visited and talked to 2 staff members. It is a 10/11 classroom renovation housing 45 staff. Some rooms have a private office, the remaining of a room is divided by partitions or furniture/low walls.
It cost approximately 3.5 million dollars. The project timeline from inception - to occupancy was less than 2 years. (Staff said they really enjoy being on site with students they serve.)

    2. Use Existing Cole Buildings
Do a simple renovation of existing site/classrooms using DSA change of use from School to Admin (least restrictive).

Careful use of Bond $ is paramount - upgrades are needed at many schools.
