I hope that some of the questions raised in the November Budget and Finance meeting can be answered. These include the reason for over $3million in payments to charter schools in the warrants attached to the 11/12/20 BOE agenda, and additional payments attached in the warrants attached for 12/9/2020, including one I noted to the Epic school which I thought had closed (I may be wrong). Directors Eng and Gonzales also asked about why $2million is being held for charter repairs when this is an average $350K annual cost, and how OUSD is progressing in bringing its administrative spend into line with comparable districts (listed on Ed-data.org as 500% of average for classified administrators in 2018-19). How do the additional positions proposed in the 12/9/20 BOE agenda impact this progress if at all? Thank you!
