Tonight you are considering the renewal of several charters. I urge you to require that these charters join the OUSD SELPA as a condition of renewal. As you know, the charter community doesn't take the same percentage of students with special needs that our district takes, especially those with moderate to severe needs. This disparity costs the district millions of dollars; an amount that could be reduced if the charters paid into the OUSD SELPA. You passed BP6006, claiming that we are one community. Now it's time to put that policy into practice. Have the charters sign an MOU that they will join our SELPA. This is the fiscally responsible position.

Light house should be kept open my daughter's graduation there and I have 2 sons attending light house middle School and light house high now my grandkids are going to attend so please keep it open they help out my children in academy and emotional understanding they go over board to support our children so please help and support our school
