Oppose funding of school sites not listed on 2012 listing of authorized turf replacements paid for by Measure J. Here is text of Measure J that authorized turf replacements a listing made available to voters. McClymonds, Fremont, Skyline, Madison traditioning to K-12.
But the following schools received Measure J turf replacement but were not authorized by text of Measure J Part II: Oakland Tech, Oakland International, Bret Harte, Frick, Claremont.
Why was of the high schools authorized for Measure J funded only McClymonds was left out?
And why were 5 schools added on to the original list authorized by the voters before replacing the turf at McClymonds?
Was this addition of schools not authorized by Oakland voters a violation of Proposition 39 of California Constitution that requires that bonds passing at 55% threshold can only be spent on projects approved by the voters of a school district?
